Holy crap, what a ride…

First off, I am in a MUCH better place than I was the last time I posted. I didn’t realize how far around the bend I’d gone until I started getting help. Aside from being homeless, I broke my glasses pretty much the first week out. And then my wallet went missing…

This incredible person named Kait helped me get my stuff together. She launched a SUCCESSFUL Go Fund Me campaign, because I’m not good with social stuff including networking. Two days ago, I bought an old Ford Econoline van that had been converted into a camper van. It’s cramped with me and the dog, but it’s dry, warm, clean and gives me a lot of freedom and safety I didn’t have when I was literally sleeping in doorsteps.

I’m going to probably remove the “darker” posts from this site. I wanted this domain to be about joy and fun. Now, that will probably include adventures with me dog as opposed to just adventures in Tyria.

I’ve started a Tik Tok account to talk about the other stuff. (I’m Dangerferret on Tik Tok if you are interested in homeless issues or things of that nature.)

Yesterday, I played Guild Wars 2 from my old laptop in my van using my iPhone as a mobile hotspot. It was fantastic! I got to do Mad King Says and play around in the labyrinth. Is it me, or is Steve a little tougher this year? No matter; we killed him and took all his stuff.

I can now say with absolute certainty that I am happier than I have been in years.

YEARS!

OK, so my laptop battery only lasts about 70-80 minutes tops, but when I can get into a coffee shop to charge it, that gives me time for a few world bosses, or a convergence.

It’s not perfect. It’s a millions times better than sleeping in a doorway while being rained on in freezing weather.

For the first time in a long time, I like my REAL life as well as my virtual life.

You just can’t keep a guildie down.
